The ribs not only consisted of the re-bar skeleton. The rib's full thickness was made up from channels, angles, and panels of weld-mesh.

Also the guttering was formed from weld-mesh on the press-brake.

The weld-mesh channels were welded to the re-bar and the angles and pannels were hog-ringed to the channels.
