TyCAD {Sheet Metal pattern development} - first created 4th May 2005
As an ex-sheet metal worker/welder I've been fascinated by sheet metal pattern development since those very first few City&Guilds day/night school lessons when I first started work at 16. We pretty much worked through the Dickason book (The Geometry of Sheet Metal Work).
Being more of draughtsman these days, I still enjoy the pattern development and combining that with my computer programming I've made my CAD system develop Square to round Transformers.

I've made the software export the pattern as 2D DXF lines and also the 3D DXF 3DPOLYFACE files. Then I've used TurboCAD v7.1pro to render the 3D file.
